Every scene of this movie blew me away at TIFF
The cast, the atmosphere, the visual and sound design, the music, and of course the symbolism of it all. Demi Moore and Margaret Qualley could not have been more perfectly cast in the lead roles. Their dedication to the process and trust in their director was clear to me. Their vulnerability causes this and leads to a very convincing fever dream.
It’s deeper than that
Everyone involved should be really proud of this movie. To me, it’s a future cult classic. It’s body/psychological horror, so don’t expect scares. I found myself lost in thought during the film (as a 47 year old woman, it really spoke to me).
But it’s also extremely fun to watch!
