Chronology
Charles, a retiree, finds a new lease on life when he answers an ad for a private detective and becomes a mole in a secret investigation at a nursing home. Michael Schur was inspired to create “A Man Inside” after watching the Chilean documentary “The Mole Agent.” He says: The documentary “The Mole Agent” is powerful because it makes people feel something remarkably similar regardless of their age, ethnicity or gender, and I would describe that feeling in a very reductive way as “I have to call my mother.” In our show we try to do something similar with the tone: Basically, does our show contribute to that feeling of making us want to call our mothers?
I love Ted Danson!
And he played a very good widower stuck in a grieving rut after the loss of his wife. The series is touching and depicts the need for the company of family and friends as one ages, especially after the loss of a loved one.
It’s also funny and silly, as is the Danson tradition
It’s easy to watch and laugh at with its heartwarming moments and I’m looking forward to a second season! It starts off quickly and easily and all 8 episodes are easy to watch.
And it doesn’t hurt to have an amazing cast!
I recommend it to anyone who likes silly comedies but also wants something that makes them feel good.
